The adventures of a decorator – Episode: Yeti
Hail Durin!
Our adventure is back and this time, as we are in winter (at this very moment, marking 87,8 °F.. lol) we will invade Carlin’s icy islands.
For those who still don’t know where we’re talking about, take your warmest coat and enter the raft of NPC Nielson. We’re sailing to Folda, home of the cutest boss in Tibia’s history: The Yeti! <3
This cute creature is surrounded by mysteries and histories. Recently, TibiaSecrets‘s staff made an amazing article talking about the Strange Yeti Cult. If you are interested in misteries and stories, I highly recommend you to read this article: Strange Yeti Cult.
The dream of many Tibians is to be able to see the Yeti at least once and try the chance to drop the wonderful Bunnyslippers.
A very interesting thing is the lack of records of this drop directly from Yeti, we have two proofs that this drop exists, one was made recently on a test server.
Hunter on Nefera – Nefera
The player Hunter on Nefera got this drop on Test Server, currently it is the only in-game evidence we have.
The second proof came up in 2016, when CipSoft made a Facebook post about the drop.
The veracity of this post is very questionable because it was on March 30th and we all know that CipSoft loves April’s Fool jokes. Anyway, after this drop that I’ve shown above, it’s real that it exists, it’s just exceptionally rare.
Well, now that we already have talked about important information about the Yeti, let’s start our adventure! :DDDD
Yeti!
An important detail to be said regarding the Yeti’s respawn is that, during the period from April 1st to May 1st, there’s a possibility that he can spawn on Chyllfroest, I am not going to talk much about this respawn as it can only occur 1 month a year. So if you are interested in finding the Yeti, keep your focus in Folda the other 11 months of the year.

Now the small path you’ll take in Folda to check the spots where Yetis can be found.
About the cooldown between the spawns, it can take from 19 days to 31 days! It’s soooo much and it can be tiring to check this boss constantly, but mantain your focus and don’t miss the chance to see this cutey.
Another interesting thing: the Yeti respawn can be found in 3 different ways:
Respawn 1 Yeti.
Respawn 2 Yetis.
Respawn 3 Yetis.
Of course we’re all happier when we face 3 Yetis but it’s just as exciting when we meet just 1.
The battle!
Well, in the Yeti case, the only real battle you’re going to face is the competition from other players trying to find him too.
I recommend checking on a hourly basis, don’t over-force the check or stand still at the respawn, hidden forces say this isn’t a good thing! >:P
Furthermore, the check can be done with level 20+ characters, they’re not strong creatures plus it’s very easy to run away from them, making the battle easier.
But be aware, they throw some common snowballs and energy ones, which can scare someone with a very low level: Snowball (0-180), Snow Wave (0-175). But just keeping an eye out, you will not have any major problems.

An important tip: Yeti is one of the bosses that gives us Bestiary Points. So if you find it, don’t forget to call friends to drop a bomb on it and unlock the bestiary. After all, who doesn’t like to earn 50 “easy” points like that, right? 😀

What can we say about this item? It’s surely the decorators most loved one. With an extremely high price, sadly many can’t afford it and the bunnyslippers stays as a far away dream.
It has an approximate value of 90kk (90,000,000 gold pieces).
